This is a true 1:1 cross-section. The dashed line is the rotation axis; a point's distance from it = radius in mm. Drag a point sideways to change width. Endpoints set base/top diameter and only move sideways; height is the Height slider. Double-click to add a point, right-click to remove.

Click a point to select and reveal its bezier handles. Drag a handle to curve the segment. Alt-click (or the Sharp/Smooth button) breaks the handles into a corner. Selected point: none.

The cross-section is the horizontal slice, extruded up. Twist rotates it as it rises: this is what makes faceted and finned planters read as designed, and it prints self-supporting in vase mode. Round + 0 twist = plain cylinder.

Foreground: the background color (the most common one) stays flat and everything else rises (Extrude) or sinks (Cut) as one layer. Per color: every detected color gets its own height, set on each swatch below, for layered multi-level relief. Edge softness bevels the transition over a physical distance.

0 = crisp, keeps fine continuous lines (best for line art / zebra). Raise it for noisy or terrazzo-like patterns to merge speckle into clean regions. High values erode thin strokes, so keep it low for detailed line work.

The 3MF is one solid planter with each color painted onto its surface (face coloring). Bambu / Orca read it via Standard 3MF Color Parsing and let you map each color to a filament. Click a swatch to edit; depth shown when relief source = per color. Most multicolor printers cap at 4–8 filaments: above that, extra colors render in the preview but the export will warn how many actually map to filaments.

5 Export

Resolution high

Surface is a dense displaced grid (like BumpMesh). Higher resolution = finer triangles, sharper color borders and relief, bigger file.

3MF = one solid, printable object with colors painted on the surface, for Bambu Studio / Orca (map colors to filaments on import). STL = same solid, single color.
